Theft or damage

If you’re leaving your musical instrument and equipment overnight in a car, van or venue, or transporting it to a practice or performance, then our insurance will give you peace of mind that your music equipment is protected when it’s outside of the house as well as at home. And if you break or damage your equipment, we’ll either cover the cost of repairing it or replace it new for old if it’s an instrument less than 3 years old or a laptop less than 18 months old and they were bought new.

Playing live

Any musician who plays live should consider Public Liability insurance, especially as many venues now ask that you have this. This covers you in case you injure someone else, or cause damage to a venue when playing.

We’ll provide you with evidence of insurance so you can show proof of cover before you play.

Teaching

If you teach others to play, then like any other private tutor you should take out insurance. This is to cover you in case a student hurts themselves, or damages third party property under your tuition.

Our insurance policy for music teachers gives you peace of mind that if you are deemed liable for any insured damages, then you would be covered.
